selasi

Half Nigerian, half Ghanian, born in London, raised in Boston, now living in Rome…mentored by Toni Morrison and Salman Rushdie…it makes sense the whole world is now talking about Taiye Selasi and her debut novel released this year: Ghana Must Go. She has already been named one of Britain’s top young novelists, written for the Guardian, and been interviewed about her groundbreaking work in Granta.

Check out her essay “What is an Afropolitan” that started it all back in 2005 and her short story “The Sex Lives of African Girls!”
