Kimbilio Founder and Faculty Member David Haynes on the New Website

Sometimes, to make the big things happen, the seemingly littler things must make way. Such was the case with our Kimbilio website. While functional, our previous site simply didn’t tell the story very well of who we are and what we’ve been up two these last few years. I hope that this update begins to resolve this oversight.

As you explore the new site, you’ll see that, more than anything, Kimbilio is about the passionate and talented group of writers who have gathered into the community. Take some time to read their bios and learn about their lives. Visit the photo album and catch us at work and at play at the annual retreat in the mountains of New Mexico. And in the new “On the Web” area, check out recent publications by our talented fellows.

In hindsight, there’s nothing “little” about a website: In addition to being the online home for our Kimbilio Fellows, we look forward to this space increasingly becoming a virtual gathering place for everyone interested in contemporary fiction. Our Media and Communications Director, Hope Wabuke, will continue to use our blog to share news and opportunities of interest to our community. And we hope that you will return to this section, as well: Check back for regular short features from the Kimbilio Fellows—on craft, on the publishing world, on anything and everything connected to the writing life.
